About Me
Hi, I'm Marie and welcome to my photography world.
What do I photograph?
Everything that is beautiful! I'm an artistic, natural light photographer specialising in humans and animals. I photograph weddings, equine, personal branding and family portraiture.
I've been described as heart warming, with a calming presence. I seem to have the ability to help others feel at ease and good about themselves.
My sessions are often held outdoors in stunning environments and backdrops. Though I capture the beauty of a classic posed portrait in an interior or studio setting, I enjoy bringing movement and freedom into the images for the people and subjects I photograph.
My photography life started while living on 300 acres, with 70 horses roaming in natural herds. I would wander the hills observing their lives, captivated by the power of these magnificent animals. I was forever changed by them as much as the land I walked on.
I began specialising in equine photography, becoming Woodhill Sand's official photographer, spending weekends at shows covering dressage, show jumping and cross country, with my images being published in NZ's Horse & Pony magazine and featuring on websites across the globe.
I was soon approached to photograph weddings, which I'm honoured to have documented over 100.
I'm also proud to be a service provider for the Sweet Louise Foundation, a foundation that supports women with secondary breast cancer. I photograph these courageous women with their families.
I support small businesses with personal branding sessions, incorporating product photography, social media imagery and short videos to showcase businesses.
I love everything to do with horses and western riding. I live in rural Tuakau with my rescue dog Rosie and my gorgeous horse Chrissy.
And I'd certainly enjoy the opportunity to connect with you.
